My name is Jax and I am a 7 year old (in 2022) Pitbull type mixed breed terrier. This is my page about my rescue, my life and my adventures. My mom has written children’s book about me and my friends to help people better understand the Pitbull type dogs. I spent most of the first two years of my life in a shelter cell. I was adopted a couple of times but always returned. I was returned because people didn’t know how to understand my issues from being starved, abused, and neglected. Back then, in 2015-16, I didn’t like to share my toys. I had food aggression from not having enough to eat and was afraid that every meal might be my last meal. I wasn’t a very well socialized boy at the time so I was not good on a leash, I jumped on people and I am very afraid of large equipment like lawnmowers, vacuum cleaners, and such.
In 2015, it was my last chance to get rescued from the shelter when a man name Lou from Good CitiZEN Dog Training Boise saw my pictures in a social media post and saw my potential to be the bestest boy. He had friends in California and with their help as well as the aid of Boise Bully Breed Rescue, they were able to save me from death row. I was transported to Boise Idaho and lived for a time in the home of Lou and his family. I learned to be social with other dogs, started dog training with Lou, and had great food.
In April 2016, a lady saw my picture on Petfinder.com and it was love at first sight. She brought the family to visit me at Lou’s house. Later that week she took me for a car ride, to the park and to pick up her son from school. By Mother’s Day I was in my forever home with my forever family. That was how it all started.
Story to be continued…..
Love Jax
